Terms of Service
Last updated: April 16, 2026
These terms govern your use of Nib. By creating a workspace or signing in, you agree to them. If you are accepting on behalf of a company, you confirm you have authority to bind that company.
Who provides the service
Nib is operated by the DFINITY Foundation, a Swiss non-profit headquartered in Zurich. When these terms say "we" or "us" we mean the Foundation; "you" means the person or organization using the service.
Acceptable use
You agree not to use Nib to:
- Post, store, or transmit content that is illegal in your jurisdiction or ours.
- Post child sexual abuse material (CSAM). We report CSAM to authorities and terminate the workspace immediately.
- Harass, threaten, dox, or incite violence against other people.
- Infringe intellectual property rights you don't own.
- Send spam, run phishing campaigns, or distribute malware.
- Unlimitedbe, scan, or attack our infrastructure or that of other users.
- Resell the service or impersonate Nib staff.
The Unlimited plan
Unlimited is billed monthly or annually in advance via Stripe. Subscriptions auto-renew at the end of each billing period unless you cancel. You can cancel at any time from the admin console; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current period. We do not prorate refunds for partial periods, except where required by law.
If a payment fails, we will retry and notify you. After 14 days of non-payment we downgrade the workspace to Free; after 60 days we suspend access until payment is restored.
Your content, our trademarks
You own your content. Messages, files, and anything else you post remain yours. You grant us a narrow license to store, transmit, and display that content as needed to operate the service.
We own the Nib mark. The name, logo, and brand assets belong to the DFINITY Foundation. You may reference Nib factually but may not use the mark as your own brand or imply endorsement.
Service availability
We work hard to keep Nib running, but we provide the service "as is" without warranties of uptime. If you need a formal SLA for a specific use case, email us and we'll talk.
Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, the DFINITY Foundation is not liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, revenue, data, or goodwill. Our total liability in any 12-month period is capped at the amount you paid us during that period, or USD 100 if you are on the Free plan.
Termination
You can delete your workspace at any time. We can suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms, with notice where practicable. If we terminate for cause we are not required to issue a refund. On termination, workspace data is deleted according to the retention rules in our privacy policy.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Switzerland. Any dispute will be resolved in the competent courts of Zurich, Switzerland, subject to any mandatory consumer protection rights in your country of residence.
Changes
We may update these terms. Material changes will be announced by email and in-product at least 30 days before they take effect.
